Staunton, Virginia was on our visit list primarily to see the glass blowing demonstration at Sunspots Studio.
Between shows at the glass studio we just wandered the town and enjoyed the architecture like the design of this parking garage. It's refreshing to see such care lavished on something so mundane as parking. The courthouse is expected to be rather ornate but the Amtrak Station also goes a little beyond pure utilitarian.
Up and down the streets you can also ride by trolley. Since the railroads eliminated them everyone seems to have an old caboose but this one need a little TLC to meet the standards for the rest of the city. Just wandering along the residential streets we spied this unique address marker.
