Wandering around Winchester, Virginia we came across a narrow alley that had been decorated by these murals in a 1997 summer camp. While not totally professional I was amazed by the capabilities of these budding young artists. Considering this is an area seeped in Colonial and Civil War history close to the political hotbed of Washington, DC the challenge is to identify the personalities they are trying to portray.
Even with a wide angle lens and backed up against the other wall capturing these images turned out to be a challenge in itself. Many had to be taken at an angle and straightened in post processing. I still think the effort was worthwhile and I am only disappointed I did not get here a decade earlier when then were fresh.
