References to the Botanic Garden tend to get rather confusing. It is in Seattle, part of the University of Washington, and the entry proclaims Washington Park Arboretum.
Starting out with the blooming Azaleas makes it look a lot like the Japanese Garden
Having wandered around my impression leans heavly to the Arboretum definition because they have trees and trees and trees.
I was just starting to enjoy picking out the color contrasts when my camera broke. Well not the camera but my general lens locked in the telephoto position. Apparently a common problem with this lens is some internal screws backing out and preventing a smooth zoom. Since I did not try to force it and damage the mechanism a local service shop was able to put them back with Locktite to keep them in place and I will get back to this garden on another trip.
