Whetstone Park in the Clintonville area of north Columbus has in my totally biased opinion one of the premier rose gardens in the country and is the standard I use to evaluate other gardens. It is a free public garden maintained by the city so it can range from good to superb based on the number of volunteers that show up on maintenance days.
Here in the western formal garden is the fountain, a small green, and the normal profusion of flowers available in August. As I get to later years I'll be adding other sections of this wonderful garden.
