Fort Frederick was built in 1756 to defend Maryland's western frontier and restored by the CCC to be the centerpiece of a large state park.
The CCC rebuilt the fort wall and interior buildings like 1758.
As with all of their projects the CCC created a lot of very nice enduring facilities for the park.
Getting away from the attractions we managed to hike some of the trails available in the park and I really liked the sharp reflections on this very still pond. I would have appreciated a little less dense cloud cover but the pond is short enough to avoid seeing haze and smog.
