Taking a break from railroads in the Altoona, Pennsylvania area we headed east for a loop around Raystown Lake.
One of the attractions we had identified in the Huntington area was the Isett Acrea Museum which turned out to be primarily a working farm with an attached county historical museum containing all the usual old farm equipment. The farm itself makes a great photograph but I don't think the museum was really worth the trip.
Here at the dam overlook I am just practicing my landscape photography. Typically I have been photographing specific attractions and mostly ignoring the local countryside. Unfortunately it is the middle of the day and I am unlikely to get up early enough to drive all the way out here to catch the sunrise.
Finally getting to the end of the loop around the southern end of the lake which involves a lot of sharp curves that don't really thrill Lori we found an overlook into the Martinsburg valley showing what I would call a typical Pennsylvania farm.
One of the frustrating things about landscape photography has been the amount of haze or smog I find with longer distance or a horizon in the picture. The closeup of Isett Acres is nice except for the murky sky and the other pictures show the effects of the haze.
