Rambling 2008
2008 is our second full year of travels. After spending most of January in Austin, Texas we returned to Shreveport, Louisiana to see my dad with side trips to Baton Rouge and New Orleans. After the loop to Columbus, Ohio to see friends and doctors we decided to make another excursion out west to see the grandchildren in the Seattle, Washington area. Returning to Columbus, Ohio through the northern part of the country we then headed back to Shreveport to stay with dad for Christmas. Overall we had 41 days of travel slowing down a little from 2007 but not cutting the mileage by much.

Again for the curious this totals up to 9389 miles between motels and campgrounds with local travel about doubling the total mileage on the truck. It also passes through at least part of 17 states still focused on that Shreveport, Louisiana and Columbus, Ohio axis with the big loop to Seattle, Washington. The picture taking also slowed a little and I had under 2500 photographs to wade through so you can see the states, cities, and special attractions we enjoyed.
