Indianapolis Zoo
2007 Indiana

The zoo is located on the grounds of the White River State Park just west of downtown. Every zoo seems to have Lions and tigers and bears, Oh my! so we focused our time in the aquarium which was a rather unique zoo feature at the time.

Moray Ele in hole Shark in pool leaping against wall Shark in pool Shrimp Penguin

My personal favorite in the aquarium is the Moray Eel peeking out of his hole. The more we explore the more of these you will see. The Sharks were swimming in a petting tank that allowed you to touch them as they passed. I have no clue why they, or at least this one, kept leaping against the wall. Simple answer might be scraping off parasites which should not be a problem in the zoo. The shrimp was one of the most colorful and penguins seem to be a primary favorite.
