Red River Zoo 2008
Fargo, North Dakota

While The Red River Zoo is rather small I was impressed mostly by their selection of animals appropriate to their latitude and normal weather so they did not have special environmental concerns.

Eagle Wolf Sichuan Takin One of my major pet peeves with zoos in general is they are not very photographer friendly. Many times the eagle would have a fence in front making a crosshatch on the bird and not just behind. While the wolf here is a little more natural the grass looks like he is walking across a lawn. The Sichuan Takin is in a very good enclosure so it is believably a natural setting and not screaming zoo. Ground hog Lori on Carousel

Lori really really likes the carousel even though I usually have a hard time getting her to ride.

Then say it real fast How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood. With a birthday of February 2nd the groundhogs are rather special and it is highly unusual to find one in a zoo.
