American Fork is primarily a far south bedroom community for Salt Lake City with easy access to Utah Lake which is an almost fresh water feeder into the Great Salt Lake. For us it was a reasonably economical location with access to a lot of the attractions we wanted to visit.
After a lot of searching I finally found a vantage to create a panorama of the valley showing the heavy snow still on the mountains and the near constant overcast. As soon as the overcast burns off it can get really really hot so we were appreciative except when it started to drizzle or mist.
The overcast typically just blurred out the sky rather than giving a spectacular sunset and it is rare for me to kick the rooster awake to try for sunrise. I did capture this ultralight para glider making a horrendous racket. I hope these are safer than the standard ultralights which drop like a rock if the motor quits like it did for John Denver one of our favorite singers.
